Our client is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join their team in Atlanta, GA. This role requires local candidates who can work on-site three days per week. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, API development, and Microservices, with a strong background in building scalable enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy high-performance Java-based applications.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Build and maintain applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Develop and optimize backend services, integrating with AWS cloud infrastructure.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using DevOps practices.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance in production.
Required Qualifications:
Must be currently local to Atlanta, GA, and available to work on-site three days per week.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
Strong expertise in building RESTful APIs and Microservices.
Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.).
Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based deployments.
Experience with message queues such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
Knowledge of front-end technologies like React or Angular is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an Agile environment with DevOps methodologies.
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-based applications.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
