Java Developers for a contract position in Texas

Target Rate - 60-65/hr.

Description

We seek 2 -qualified Java Developers for a contract position working remotely from anywhere in Texas. Will perform advanced automated systems development work in support of Vocational Rehabilitation software systems. Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving software, data, hardware, reporting problems, and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develops and tests web applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications, and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to TWC needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.

8    Experience with Optimizing Database queries
8    Experience with Database Triggers and functions
8    Experience with JPA and ORM technologies (Hibernate, MyBatis, etc)
8    Experience with Spring Suite (Spring Core, Spring IOC, Spring Batch, etc)
5    Experience with web development
2    Experience with JSP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, React, Angular
2    Experience with AWS, Container technologies (Docker, Kuber)
2    Experience using Microfocus ALM Octane (Application Lifecycle Management)
2    Experience with building Accessible web applications
2    Experience using Version Control
    Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, practices and techniques of application programming and software design
    Ability to accurately test software applications use a data driven development approach
    Ability to effectively communicate
    Skill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs; and in trouble shooting computer software systems
    Strong written and verbal communication skills to serve as a technical consultant to peers, clearly and accurately document relevant issues, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable reports

 

Preferred:
Public sector experience
